Longtime Abilene nurse retires Abilene Recorder Chronicle In l978 she moved to day shifts and worked in Med/Surg until 1990, when she became the Infection Prevention/Employee Health nurse. By that time, the nurses were working 12-hour shifts. She worked as the IP/EH nurse part-time and in Med/Surg part-time.
